The inaugural Waterfront Dream Festival was held on Saturday July 1, 2006 at the Waterfront Park on Market Landing in Newburyport, MA. Several hundred people came out on this beautiful afternoon to support the Recurring Dream Foundation (RDF) event; we raised well over $3,000.

The Waterfront Dream Festival would not have been possible without the generosity of local businesses, musicians and of course concert attendees (our fans!). Items such as gift certificates to the Essex Street Inn and The Fitness Factory, and gifts from The Dragon’s Nest Inc. were donated and raffled off between sets of the concert. The talented bands and musicians who donated their time and talent were a huge part of the concert’s success. Visit the Contributors page for a list of supporters of the event.

The funds that were raised from the Waterfront Dream Festival were used to purchase a drum set and a base guitar amplifier for the Newburyport High School Band. Visit the Media page to see photos and press from the event.

The Foundation is in the final stages of approval for 501(c)(3) status through the Internal Revenue Service. This status allows our supporters to give us a tax-deductible gift and helps raise more dollars in support of the RDF mission.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Newburyport community, its businesses, the Waterfront Trust, our donors and all who helped make the inaugural Waterfront Dream Festival such a huge success. We truly value this support and look forward to strengthening these relationships through future events.
